About Me
Judith Aronowitz, RN, LCSW
We’re all interconnected.
We all come from families. Our experience in our family of origin helps to create who we become. Healing people changes generations to come.
I have spent my career working to heal relationships. As a pediatric nurse, I worked closely with the family unit and was always drawn to providing emotional support. This informs my holistic approach- working relationally, seeing people as part of a whole, and considering the connection between mind and body, as well as ethnicity, class, and identity.
I believe the therapeutic relationship grows out of a connection based on collaboration, trust and care. I am straightforward and direct, but also warm and empathic.
Together we will get at what is underneath the behavior that’s holding you back.
My Approach
Unwaveringly Supportive.
I want to acknowledge that therapeutic work can be intimidating and that’s okay. It makes sense. The fact that you are here now tells me that you’re willing to show up for yourself. I’m here to support you so that you’re not alone in it.
Pragmatic.
Goal-directed interventions that help you get where you want to go. Sometimes simply exploring what goals feel resonant with our authentic selves can help identify a way forward to what’s satisfying and true.
Strengths-Based.
Together we’ll tap into your existing strengths and the unique characteristics that define you. Who you are is already enough. Resilience is like a muscle, sometimes you need some experience with it to know that you have it. Therapy is a great place to develop it.
